    Bradwell Cruising Club is 21

To celebrate we have organised a weekend of fun and frolics for all.
There will be a marquee at the Marina which will host stalls and activities during the day and music and dancing in the evening.
To feed the inner man there will be a Hog Roast on Saturday and picnics on Sunday.

All are welcome so invite your friends & family - the more the merrier.

18 June             Ticket sales pass 100

At some point during this week we registered ticket sales of over 100!  Worried that the event could be under pressure, the well oiled (ie efficient, not drunk) BCC committee sprang into action to address the essentials: More beer & More food. Satisfied that all is now well they have now gone back to what they do best - leaning on the bar and complaining about the weather.

Mick is busy arranging a supply of a special local brew, manufactured by one of the many local micro breweries.

9 June               Tickets on their way

We have now started sending out tickets to the people who have already ordered them. Tickets are also available from the Marina Bar, please talk to Mick.

6 June               Programme for the weekend settled

The programme for the weekend has now been finalised. Details will now be advertised by Email, this website and posters. Look out for details.

5 June               Auction lots

Britannia Sailing School have generously donated a voucher for £100 for any of their courses. Bradwell Marina have given a free Lift & Scrub for a boat up to 50'

4 June               Hello Campers

We have now arranged camping facilities at the Bradwell Outdoor Centre (next to the Marina) for all wishing to camp over the weekend. The cost is £10 per tent which includes use of the showers and toilets.

2 June               Auction lot

Bradwell Marina have donated a free Lift & Scrub for any boat up to 50ft

We have now secured two tickets for a forthcoming   Will Young   concert. Watch this space for further details.

5 May                Auction lots donated

Two of the many auction lots have now been organised. The first is an original painting by Dick Mitchell, a club member, who is renowned for his pictures of the sea and it's craft and is currently exhibiting at the National Maritime Museum, Greenwhich. The second lot is a Land Rover Off Road Driving Experience. The successful bidder will spend half a day up to their axles in mud, at one of Land Rover's UK centres.

15 March        Ticket price agreed

The committee have agreed a ticket price of £15 for adults. The event is intended to be as lavish as possible and this price has only been achieved after a large subsidy from Club funds. The committee also agreed that youngsters under the age of 15 should get in free.

12 March        Hog Roast booked

Food for the event will be in the form of a Hog Roast, adding a bit of ‘theatre’ as well as providing tasty food.

4 March          Bands confirmed

The music has now been settled and will comprise a Jazz band, a Blues band together with a disco for late night dancing.

2 Feb               Stalls added

The possible 'dead time' between lunch and the start of music and dancing will be filled with stalls and demonstrations. Various organisations together with club members will provide stalls that offer opportunities to purchase, watch or win.

10 Jan             Committee agrees celebration event

The committee agrees the format of the celebrations and votes to subsidise the event from club funds. There will be a marquee at the Marina with food & dancing in the evening. Sunday will be a 'recovery' day with gentle activities to occupy the less hungover.
