This was
the first water or tarmac event of the year, and as a
Cruising Club, most used the tarmacadam. Two boats did brave
the forecast: Kudos and Saltpetre, and we trust both
returned safety to Bradwell on the following Sunday despite
the snow.
The Fitting
in Supper this year was held in The Old Ship at Heybridge
where 31 members met in the upper room and were served a
good wholesome meal. The evening revealed some strange
musical tastes and one nameless person even suggested the
Rod Stewart hit ‘I am sailing’ was their all-time favourite!
There were
two complaints, one from the current Commodore, and the
other from a Rear Commodore. The quiz was not to the
Commodores liking, because there were too many sailing
questions! Perhaps as Sheila was not present this might be
the reason. So at last we have ascertained who the
‘mastermind’ really is.
Thanks to
all for attending and making the evening a success.
